What is an Affiliate Link?

Many (but not all) of the links on Cleanlivingbasics.org are affiliate links. This means that a special tracking code is used and that I may make a small commission on the sale of an item if you purchase through one of these links. The price of the item is the same for you whether it is an affiliate link or not, and using affiliate links helps me to maintain this website, keep consulting costs for our most struggling clients low while supporting my family.

When Do I Use Affiliate Links?

If I post an affiliate link to a product, it is something that I personally use, support and would recommend without an affiliate link. Unless noted otherwise, any product I link to is one I have purchased myself and use for myself or my family. At this time, I do not accept free products for review and also disclose if I am affiliated with a company in any other way that benefits me financially.

As many may be aware, some blogger accept free products for review or to write sponsored posts. While this is a valid business practice that I do not take issue with as long as there is proper disclosure of the relationship, the purpose of my blog is to simplify a detoxification lifestyle and to only promote products that I have thoroughly researched and used personally and for my family (and we have a few medically fragile members in our family).

My goal is to simplify the complex process of detoxification and provide the tools that make continuation of this type of lifestyle easy. I also do not discriminate on business models to find the most superior products in each category, therefore you will see links to a few products that utilize multilevel marketing. Please be assured, I will only ever link to products or resources that I am certain of the purity and that have been personally tested on my myself and my medically fragile folks. You will only see support of products that match these goals.

Though not all links contained in this website contain affiliate links, many do. The reason for this is to provide most of the educational content on this site free to visitors. My goal is to educate and empower and serve as many people as I can while having the resources to maintain access to this site and provide for my family.
